What's New!
Back in the Studio again
April 2008 Currently, Mark is back working in the studio producing a CD collection of songs written by a good Christian friend, Lori Wilbins. "At first, it was a little disappointing to not work on my own songs next, but I'm over it! It has been quite an adventure producing for someone else, but well worth it. I am really excited about the outcome so far". Lord willing, we hope the CD will be ready for release by June - more to come later.....

Treasure Blind Update
March 2008 Just a quick update on the Treasure Blind movie (if you're new here, see below) - DVDs are now available directly from the Treasure Blind website! While they are still pursuing distribution in movie theaters, you can get your very own "small screen" preview today - and be sure to let the Treasure Blind folks know what you think!

"Treasure Blind" World Premier Showing!
November 2007 As we mentioned last month, Mark has been composing, arranging, and recording some music for a new movie called Treasure Blind. On October 8th, 2007 the world premier of "Treasure Blind" took place at the Riverwalk Theaters in Jenks, OK to a crowd of 1300 invited guests! The place was quite a buzz of excitement! This marked the "completion" of the production, but now comes the distribution, which is still in the works. We will keep you posted on the progress.

Treasure Blind movie
Treasure Blind is a moving story, set in modern-day Tulsa, OK with a number of flashbacks to the Civil War period. These Civil War scenes comprise about 20 minutes of this 2-hour, full-length film and for the most part are "accompanied" by Mark's music including mountain dulcimer, banjo, and guitar, with Jennifer Downing playing fiddle. Mark plays some traditional "period" pieces, as well as a few of his own that were composed just for this movie. Here are a few sample MP3s of Mark's musical work for Treasure Blind:

Soldier's Joy (traditional) (939kb-MP3)
Cluck Old Hen (traditional) (939kb-MP3)
Caving Banks Lament dulcimer (copyright 2007 by Mark Tindle) (1.2mb-MP3)
Caving Banks Lament fiddle (copyright 2007 by Mark Tindle) (861kb-MP3)
Coming Home (copyright 2007 by Mark Tindle) (689kb-MP3)

This independent movie was written, directed, and produced mostly in Tulsa, using local scenery and droves of volunteer talent on both sides of the camera. We will keep you updated as we learn more about the distribution. In the meantime, please visit the Treasure Blind website for more information.
